Salary £13.56 per hour (up to £15.59 per hour in selected London locations).
About the Role
We're reinventing the beauty experience at Boots and as a Boots Beauty Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of it. You’ll be the trusted expert in skincare, makeup and haircare, dedicated to understanding your customers’ needs and guiding them toward products that truly deliver results.
This isn’t a conventional retail role. Based in our vibrant Beauty Halls, you’ll collaborate with premium and luxury brands to offer honest, unbiased advice—whether recommending a beloved cult product, a new release or the latest trend. The focus is on creating feel-good moments, building trusting relationships, and ensuring every customer leaves looking and feeling their best.
You’ll report to the Beauty Assistant Manager, work as part of a supportive team toward sales targets, and benefit from (no individual commission). A generous product allowance lets you explore premium brands firsthand.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer unbiased expert advice across all premium and luxury beauty brands
- Collaborate with a supportive team to meet sales targets (no commission pressure)
- Create memorable customer experiences through natural and confident interactions
- Promote new products, offers, and launches in innovative ways in-store
- Maintain clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing beauty counters
- Build expertise through hands-on brand training, online learning, events, and conferences
- Engage with social content, in-store events, and marketing campaigns

Requirements
Must-haves
- A genuine passion for beauty, skincare, haircare and helping people feel their best
- Strong confidence in approaching customers and sparking meaningful conversations
- Drive and determination to exceed sales goals
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to understand and address customers’ needs
- Curiosity and a proactive mindset for learning new techniques and products
Nice-to-have
- Experience in beauty retail or target-focused roles
- Creative interest in developing social content
