Counter Lead

About the Role

The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share by maintaining a consumer-focused approach. They ensure the Brand's success through delivering exceptional service, operational excellence, and strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Representation & Engagement

  • Reflect a professional and credible brand image to all internal and external consumers.
  • Maximise sales through selling strategies, excellent customer service, and adherence to high retail standards.
  • Align with company policies and guidelines to improve efficiencies.
  • Stay aware of daily/weekly targets while capitalising on all sales opportunities (e.g., events, omnichannel (Omni), and digital channels).
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify missed sales opportunities.
  • Actively utilise social media to enhance the Brand, protect its image, and drive business growth.
  • Translate Brand Strategy locally, ensuring local plans are implemented effectively.
  • Plan and execute local marketing initiatives and events, ensuring alignment with Retailer activities.

Service Excellence & Consumer Relations

  • Maintain a zero complaints mindset, fostering a surprise and delight culture.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador, leading the representation of Brand values.
  • Manage refunds and complaints professionally, consulting with Area Managers as needed.
  • Recruit, retain, and grow a loyal consumer base through ongoing engagement strategies.
  • Develop product expertise to deliver an industry-leading consumer experience.

Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure excellent standards in product presentation, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing.
  • Conduct daily retail standards reviews, maintaining required levels.
  • Oversee deliveries, stock movements, and administrative compliance within agreed timelines.
  • Meet all audit requirements and implement corrective actions for highlighted risks.
  • Accurately fulfil information requests by deadlines.
  • Minimise stock loss by enforcing and following Company Security Policies.

Health & Safety & Workplace Standards

  • Maintain a safe working environment for consumers, adhering to both Company and Retailer Policies.
  • Achieve a minimum audit scoring of Acceptable (A) in all health & safety and operational activities.

Commercial Performance & Merchandising

  • Manage daily replenishment, ensuring stock availability and addressing issues promptly.
  • Leverage commercial reports to drive sales performance through informed decisions.
  • Plan and execute visual merchandising layouts in line with guidelines and deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve stock package issues, consulting Area Managers when necessary.
  • Ensure all promotions and discounts comply with Company policies.
  • Spot key trends and suggest product performance enhancements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-focused environment.
  • Strong commercial understanding of industry standards.
  • Ability to drive self-development and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
