Boutique Hedge Fund Investor Relations Analyst

Investor Relations Associate – London Office

A growing alternative investment manager with approximately $1bn in AUM is seeking an Investor Relations Associate (London).

This position presents an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious professional to develop a long-term career in hedge fund fundraising and investor relations, working alongside senior leadership and gaining insights into a sophisticated institutional investor base.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the senior investor relations and business development teams in all fundraising activities.
  • Manage relationships with existing and prospective investors, including institutional and intermediary channels.
  • Prepare and maintain:
    • Fund marketing materials
    • Investor presentations
    • Due diligence responses (RFPs, DDQs, and ad hoc requests)
    • Investor reporting and fund updates
  • CRM management, including investor pipelines and fundraising performance tracking.
  • Coordinate and organise:
    • Investor meetings
    • Roadshows
    • Conference attendance
    • Follow-up communications
  • Liaise with investment, operations, compliance, and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely investor communications.
  • Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and investor research.
  • Support new investor onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
  • Contribute to special projects across investor relations, fundraising, and strategic business development.

Candidate Profile

  • 1-4 years of experience in:
    • Hedge fund investor relations
    • Capital introduction
    • Asset management sales, client service, consultant relations, or investor relations
    • Alternative investment fundraising environments
  • Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with investor materials, DDQs, RFPs, or client reporting is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting with confidence and senior stakeholder interactions.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in European languages is highly desirable.
  • Prior exposure to hedge funds or alternative strategies is strongly preferred.
  • Degree educated, with a robust academic background.
  • Demonstrated interest in fundraising, investor relations, and capital raising in alternatives.
