Bowel Cancer Screening Service Manager

The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton are looking to recruit a Bowel Cancer Screening Service Manager, responsible for the day to day operational management of their Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, ensuring national quality standards and key performance indicators are met. The post holder will be an integral part of a positive, dynamic management team within a well established Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational management of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme
  • Meet national quality standards and key performance indicators
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to the operational management team
  • Develop and implement sustainable improvements in process and practice
  • Support delivery of local and national cancer targets
  • Provide a variety of reports to the Trust Screening team, NHSE, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills
  • Previous experience of operational management, preferably within the NHS
  • Ability to manage demand and capacity
  • Cross site cover at Queen's Hospital, Burton as required
