Boxercise Instructor will deliver high-quality group Boxercise sessions to a diverse range of participants, ensuring safe, engaging, and effective workouts in line with MHSE standards.
This self-employed role is on-site for The Mill Gym and Studio based in the London Area, United Kingdom, involves planning and structuring classes, selecting appropriate drills and combinations, and adapting sessions to different ages, fitness levels, and abilities.
The instructor will demonstrate proper technique, provide clear instructions, correct form, and maintain a strong focus on participant safety and injury prevention.
Class responsibilities include preparing equipment and spaces before classes, checking attendance, monitoring participant progress, and offering encouragement and feedback.

The role also involves supporting promotional activities, maintaining a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, liaising with other MHSE staff about schedules and facilities, and ensuring that all sessions align with health and safety and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications
Recognized fitness or Boxercise-specific qualification (e.g., Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Boxercise Instructor certification or equivalent). Demonstrated experience leading group exercise or boxing-style fitness classes, with strong skills in session planning, progression, and adaptation for varied abilities. Sound knowledge of exercise technique, boxing fundamentals (non-contact), warm-up and cool-down protocols, and safe training principles. Excellent communication and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport, encourage participation, and create an inclusive, positive class environment. Strong awareness of health and safety, risk assessment, and safeguarding good practice when working with children, young people, and adults. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, manage time effectively, and respond flexibly to changing schedules and participant needs. First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) and a clear commitment to ongoing professional development in sports, fitness, and wellbeing. Previous experience working in a school, camp, or sports club setting, and familiarity with customer service in a leisure
