Are you a creative, commercially minded designer looking for your next challenge? One of the UK's leading suppliers to the high street is growing and is looking for a talented Boys Sportswear Designer to join its dynamic design team. Menswear experience is desirable.

Working closely with the Design Manager, you'll play a key role in creating trend-led, commercial collections for some of the UK's biggest retailers. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment, with excellent training, clear progression opportunities, and exposure to a diverse product portfolio spanning boys sportswear, menswear, and boys outerwear.

  • Design and help develop exciting boys sportswear collections from concept through to production.
  • Create high-quality CADs for customer presentations and internal collections.
  • Produce detailed tech packs to support accurate sample development.
  • Manage and update sample trackers throughout the development process.
  • Maintain organised fabric and trim libraries, sourcing fresh and innovative materials each season.
  • Work closely with merchandising teams in Shanghai to ensure smooth product development.
  • Build strong relationships with customer buying teams and support successful product launches.
  • Conduct regular trend research, competitor analysis, and shop reports to keep collections commercially relevant.
  • Develop inspiring seasonal trend packs covering colour, graphics, fabrics, silhouettes, and mood direction.
  • Keep internal systems and documentation organised and up to date.
  • Support the wider design team with studio administration and day-to-day organisation.
  • Take part in inspirational shopping trips, including opportunities for international travel.
  • Continue developing your skills by embracing new technologies, including AI-powered design tools.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in menswear design, with boyswear or sportswear experience highly desirable.
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • A confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to translate trends into successful long lead-time fashion collections.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives on sharing ideas and working creatively with others.
  • Positive, ambitious, and driven, with a genuine passion for fashion and product design.
