We're looking for a proactive and analytical Business Readiness Analyst to join our growing Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) Operations team.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring BPA buy-out schemes transition smoothly into ongoing administration. You'll work across business, operational and technology teams to analyse customer journeys, assess operational readiness, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and help deliver excellent customer outcomes.

As Royal London's BPA business continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to influence new processes, enhance customer experiences and support the successful delivery of complex buy-out transitions in a highly collaborative environment.

About The Role

  • Analysing and mapping end-to-end BPA customer journeys from buy-out transition through to ongoing policy servicing.
  • Defining and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new schemes, system changes and operational enhancements.
  • Identifying risks, operational gaps and opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Creating test scenarios, acceptance criteria and validating system and process changes.
  • Supporting buy-out readiness and providing assurance ahead of scheme go-live.
  • Working closely with BPA Operations, Change, IT, Data, Implementation and third-party partners.
  • Monitoring testing outcomes, managing defects and ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
  • Supporting governance, audit and control activities through robust documentation and evidence gathering.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
