The Opportunity

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
In this key role, you will take ownership of the financial health of the branch, overseeing processes and ensuring robust financial controls:
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Providing deep profit and loss analysis across all key areas (New, Used, Service, and Parts).
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining tight control accounts.
- Overseeing VAT returns, payroll oversight, and proactive cashflow management.
- Leading year-end accounts preparation and acting as the main liaison for external auditors.
- Conducting regular stock reconciliation and margin analysis to support business decisions.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience working as an Accountant specifically within the automotive or retail sector.
- Confidence using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Kerridge/Keyloop, Pinewood Pinnacle, or similar.
- A strong understanding of motor trade accounting practices, manufacturer covenants, and KPIs.
- Excellent analytical skills, great organisation, and the ability to work independently to meet tight manufacturer deadlines.
