Branch Assistant

Branch Assistant – Llanelli

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Branch Assistant to join our busy branch team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced trade and retail environment, supporting daily branch operations while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Branch Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the branch. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and acknowledging customers promptly
  • Serving customers efficiently both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Resolving customer queries effectively
  • Assisting customers with loading purchases where appropriate
  • Picking materials accurately for deliveries, collections, and stock transfers
  • Identifying and reporting faulty or damaged goods
  • Assisting drivers with loading company vehicles
  • Checking materials for quality and quantity
  • Operating fork trucks safely (where trained and certified)
  • Supporting stock accuracy and inventory management
  • Assisting with weekly and annual stock takes
  • Supporting merchandising and store layout changes
  • Promoting and selling products to maximise margins and profitability
  • Processing sales and credit transactions accurately
  • Managing cash and account transactions responsibly
  • Forwarding sales leads to relevant team members

Hours & Salary

  • Hours: 40.75 per week (Mon–Fri, 7:30AM–4:30PM + alternating Sats, 8:00AM–12:00PM)
  • Salary: National Minimum Wage (NMW) – £26,932.49 per year
