Role Description
The Branch Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Nottingham branch. The Branch Manager oversees day-to-day branch operations, including:
- Supervising staff
- Managing stock levels
- Coordinating deliveries and collections
- Ensuring the branch meets sales and profitability targets

- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Providing product guidance
- Resolving issues promptly to support high levels of customer satisfaction
The Branch Manager is responsible for:
- Implementing company policies
- Maintaining a safe and organized workplace
- Monitoring operational performance and costs
The position also includes:
- Reviewing market opportunities
- Supporting local marketing activities
- Coaching team members to achieve individual and branch goals
Qualifications
- Experience in branch, store, or operations management within wholesale, trade, or related sectors, with proven leadership and team supervision skills
- Strong customer service and relationship management abilities, including handling enquiries, resolving issues, and supporting repeat business
- Competence in stock control, logistics coordination, and basic supply chain processes, including overseeing deliveries and collections
- Business and commercial awareness, including sales planning, margin management, and meeting revenue and profitability targets
- Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a busy environment
- Comfort with using IT systems such as inventory, order management, and basic office software
- Knowledge of electrical products or experience in the electrical wholesale industry is highly beneficial
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role and a track record of developing and supporting team members
- Ability to work on-site in Nottingham, with reliability and flexibility to meet operational needs
