Branch Manager – Croydon

Location: Croydon

About the Role

Access Garage Doors, a leading specialist in garage and entrance doors since 1976, seeks an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to lead and grow our Croydon branch.

This hands-on, varied role will involve overseeing daily operations, managing a small team, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving growth in one of the South East’s fastest-growing garage door businesses.

The Role & Responsibilities

In this hands-on, leadership-driven position, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the Croydon branch
  • Managing and supporting a small team
  • Handling customer enquiries, sales, and order processing
  • Coordinating installations and branch operations
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service
  • Monitoring stock and delivered goods
  • Performing manual handling and heavy lifting (role involves practical work)

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven management, supervisory, or team leadership experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident in dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Sales-focused with a proactive, results-driven attitude
  • Familiar with email, Microsoft Office, and order management systems
  • Leads by example in a hands-on working environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points)

Desirable

  • Experience in garage doors, construction, builders’ merchants, or home improvements
  • Hands-on experience in scheduling installations or managing operational teams
  • Knowledge of stock handling and goods checking

Working Hours

  • Monday – Friday: 7.30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday: 9 AM – 12:30 PM (rota basis)
