Our City Stores are a unique part of Screwfix - smaller format trade counters with big ambitions and close-knit teams. As a Branch Manager, you will lead a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, where your leadership sets the tone for everything that happens in-store. With a focus on commerciality and leading from the front, you will prioritise doing the right thing to support your team and customers. You will take ownership of digital performance, commercial results, and drive local outreach to build trade relationships and community connections.
You will foster strong collaboration within your team and across the wider business to share best practice, solve problems, and maximise opportunities.
The candidate must be able to commute between our city store locations.

- Lead by example – inspire and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer service whilst engaging and motivating colleagues to provide an outstanding customer experience, balancing speed, quality, and digital convenience.
- Create a great store culture – foster an environment where everyone feels valued, included, and motivated to perform at their best.
- Deliver Results – Take ownership of your store’s Key Performance Indicators, Profit and Loss, driving performance across Customer Service, Operational Priorities, and People to drive results and adapt quickly to changing priorities and peak trading times.
- Collaboration – confidently represent your store during high-profile visits and stay curious about the external market and local trends, feeding back insights that help your store, Area, and the wider business adapt and thrive in a competitive City landscape.
- Make it your own - Support multi-skilling so colleagues can flex between counter, picking, delivery support, and local outreach activities to build trade relationships and community connections.
Required Skills & Experience

- A strong people leader who can coach, spot and develop talent and prioritise colleague well-being.
