Unique Plumbing Supplies Limited is an ethically run independent plumbing and heating merchant with five dynamic branches across the Hampshire area. One of these locations features a modern, inspirational bathroom showroom that showcases a wide range of products and design ideas. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager role based in Winchester. The Branch Manager oversees day-to-day branch operations, including managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service for trade and retail customers.

Responsibilities

- Monitoring sales performance
- Setting local targets
- Implementing initiatives to grow branch revenue and profitability
- Coordinating order processing, deliveries, and stock levels to meet customer demand efficiently
- Leading and developing the branch team
- Handling scheduling
- Supporting training
- Promoting health and safety standards
- Representing the company’s ethical values in all interactions
Qualifications
- Operational management skills, including branch or store leadership, staff supervision, and day-to-day workflow coordination.
- Sales and customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships with trade and retail customers and drive revenue growth.
- Organizational and planning skills, such as inventory control, scheduling, and attention to detail in managing orders and deliveries.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective team collaboration.
- Basic financial and commercial awareness, including understanding of margins, pricing, and branch performance metrics.
- Experience in plumbing, heating, or building supplies (or similar merchant environment) is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with using business systems and software for stock management, sales processing, and reporting.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions, and uphold ethical and safety standards.
- Relevant supervisory or management experience; a qualification in business, management, or a related field is an advantage but not essential.
