About the Opportunity
A chance to lead a well-respected branch within an established merchant business. This role provides strong autonomy, allowing you to maximise profitability, drive growth, and develop your team within a busy operational site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales and operations with a focus on profitability growth
- Oversee various departmental managers while maintaining overall accountability for performance
- Manage stock control, sales trends, and market intelligence to guide business expansion
- Foster strong customer relationships and attract new business to prevent stagnation
- Motivate and inspire your team to achieve targets and excel

Person Specification
- Experience Required: Proven track record as a Branch Manager / General Manager in the Builders Merchants or Construction Supply sector
- Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable ability to grow and sustain sales profitability
- Strong negotiation and stock management skills
- Passion for market growth and operational excellence
- Leadership experience with the ability to build and develop teams
- Personality Traits:
- Ambitious with career-focused aspirations
- Inspiring and motivational presence (employees should want to follow your leadership)
- Customer-centric mindset with relationship-building abilities
