Branch Manager – Rockhampton

About the Role

As the Branch Manager for Rockhampton, you will take full responsibility for the branch’s performance, safety, compliance, and profitability. Reporting to the State Manager, you will lead a team to drive operational excellence, sales growth, and outstanding customer service.

This role demands a confident leader who excels at balancing people management, logistics oversight, safety compliance, and commercial strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership & Safety Compliance

    • Oversee daily branch operations, including logistics, fleet management, stock control, and site compliance
    • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, safety, and compliance standards in line with industry legislation
  • Team Management & Development

    • Lead and motivate the branch team, fostering a positive culture and high-performing work environment
    • Recruit, train, select, and manage ** Branch Team** members effectively

  • Fleet & Delivery Excellence

    • Manage and optimise driver run schedules and ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced
  • Sales & Customer Service Growth

    • Strengthen customer relationships and drive local sales growth to meet financial targets

Desired Skills & Experience

Must-Have Qualities

✔ Leadership in a supervisory/management role (minimum 2+ years) ✔ Proven success in team development, performance management, and culture-building ✔ Experience in logistics, transport, industrial, manufacturing, or trade environments ✔ Commercial acumen with strong budgeting, sales, and profitability mindset ✔ Ability to manage safety, compliance, and operational risks rigorously

Add-On Assets

🔹 Experience in gas, transport, logistics, or industrial industries (highly preferred) 🔹 Valid Forklift/Truck Licence (advantageous) 🔹 Demonstratable customer-centric approach, aligned with Supagas’ YES WE CAN culture 🔹 Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
