Branch Operations Manager – Join Our Vibrant Team

Team: Monday to Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
About the Role
We’re seeking a Hands-On Branch Operations Manager to lead by example, drive operational excellence, and develop a high-performing team.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in warehouse, operations, or logistics management, who excels in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to balance multiple priorities while prioritising Health & Safety, compliance, and customer service. It’s ideal for those comfortable with rolling up their sleeves, leading from the front, and delivering results through their team.
An understanding of transport planning would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Warehouse Operatives and Drivers, fostering accountability, engagement, and high performance.
- Support the performance management cycle through regular one-to-ones, annual reviews, objective setting, and development planning.
- Assiste the Branch Manager in daily operations and act as a keyholder when needed.
- Conduct regular compliance, operational, and safety checks, ensuring procedures are followed and records are maintained.
- Orgaise daily operations, including supporting delivery scheduling and route planning.
- Produce monthly operational reports and identify efficiency and service improvements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, engaging actively with tough** project and requirements.
- Overse warehouse and yard operations, including:
- Stock management
- Goods-in processes
- Inventory accuracy
- Support safe loading/unloading of customer/supplier vehicles.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping across the branch.
- Collaborate to drive continuous improvements.
- Achieve results through your team while aligning with the branch’s operational and commercial objectives.

Requirements
- Proven experience leading teams in warehouse, logistics, transport, or operational environments.
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to lead from the front.
- Strong grasp of Health & Safety and compliance.
- Experience in performance management, people development, and result-driven team leadership.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach.

Preferred (not essential):
- Experience in building materials, construction supply, distribution, or logistics sectors.
- Knowledge of transport planning.
