Branch Supervisor

Branch Supervisor – Wholesale (Aberdeen)

Location: Aberdeen Department: Wholesale Type: Full Time Reports to: Branch Manager

About the Role Dron & Dickson are seeking a Branch Supervisor to support the Branch Manager and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales Coordinator team. This full-time role merges operational leadership with hands-on sales support, ensuring streamlined processes, high team performance, and exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

Branch Operations & Team Leadership

  • Lead and managers the Sales Coordinator team, ensuring efficient daily operations
  • Assist the Branch Manager with:
    • Stock control, aged stock and aged debt management
    • Preparation and submission of tender documents
  • Oversee procurement for key product lines to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Train and mentor new team members on systems and Dron & Dickson processes
  • Support performance reviews and team development
  • Approve invoices and stock adjustments within delegated authority
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Branch Manager as required

Sales & Customer Service

  • Assist with quotation and purchase order approvals (within delegated authority)
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of:
    • Quotations
    • Sales orders
    • Purchase orders
  • Follow up on quotations to maximise conversion and maintain competitiveness
  • Manage customer and supplier returns, non-conformances (per procedures)
  • Liaise with Business Development Managers as required
  • Maintain proactive communication with:
    • Customers
    • Suppliers
    • Internal teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and HSEQ processes

Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) Compliance

  • Adhere to all company policies within the integrated management system
  • Promote a safe working environment, meeting all health and safety standards
  • Act with integrity, ensuring all mandatory training is completed

Required qualities for this role include:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities and time management
