BEYOND THE LABEL: Women Who Defy Expectations is a magazine dedicated to exploring identity, culture, and personal experience through in-depth features, essays, and photography. Each issue challenges stereotypes and offers fresh perspectives on race, gender, and social norms.

Within the magazine, Beyond the Label is a business-focused segment that highlights outstanding women leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators. This series showcases their stories, strategies, and achievements, inspiring readers and reshaping ideas about success and leadership.

Role Description

The Brand Ambassador is a part-time role based in London, representing BEYOND THE LABEL at events, partner locations, and community engagements. This role involves actively promoting the magazine and its business segment, engaging with readers and partners, and communicating the brand’s mission and values.

The Brand Ambassador will:

  • Distribute marketing materials
  • Support campaign activations
  • Gather feedback from audiences
  • Provide input to the marketing team on brand perception

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with stakeholders
  • Answering questions about the magazine’s content and initiatives
  • Maintaining a consistent, professional presence that strengthens brand recognition and loyalty

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, inclusive relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in brand ambassadorship and brand awareness, with a track record of effectively representing an organization or product.
  • Customer service and communication skills to engage thoughtfully with readers, partners, and event attendees.
  • Familiarity with marketing or events, including supporting campaigns, promotional activities, or community outreach.
  • Comfort speaking in public settings, presenting key messages, and adapting communication style as needed.
  • Knowledge of or interest in media, publishing, or gender and social equity topics is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in London or Barcelona, including occasional evenings or weekends for events.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, sales, or promotional role is beneficial.
