Primary Purpose
Brand Ambassadors bring Tapestry’s iconic brands to life in department stores by championing our values, supporting key business goals and delivering exceptional customer service.
We’re hiring a Brand Ambassador for John Lewis & Partners Kingston. In this role, you’ll report to the Senior Regional Brand Ambassador and partner closely with Tapestry teams, store leadership, and shopfloor colleagues to drive brand visibility, growth, and overall performance.
Please note, this is a full-time (40 hours per week) fixed-term contract.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Retail Customer Service to:
- Deliver a seamless, elevated customer experience by leveraging brand training, tools, and resources to uphold exceptional service standards
- Proactively develop clienteling strategies and in-store event ideas, and support and co-host activations that drive engagement and sales
- Build strong partnerships with local retail teams to gain insights into customer profiles and emerging opportunities. Attend brand events to deepen market knowledge and align with key business priorities
- Track and analyse store performance against targets and present actionable plans to the Senior Regional Brand Ambassador when needed. Regularly monitor trade results to ensure alignment with expectations
- Identify growth opportunities by observing in-store activity, including new activations, local events, and omni-channel engagement strategies
- Build strong relationships with department store management to improve brand visibility and customer loyalty
- Execute visual merchandising guidelines and ensure new season collections are prominently displayed and aligned with delivery schedules
- Apply visual merchandising guidelines effectively during markdown periods, maintaining consistency with regional visual standards and ensuring a cohesive brand presentation
- Cultivate a strong relationship with the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager and share regular visual updates
- Manage product deliveries and replenishment and ensure back-of-house areas are clean, organised, and well-maintained. Escalate any operational concerns to the Senior Regional Brand Ambassador
- Complete trade reports promptly, ensuring key product insights and callouts are communicated clearly and efficiently to the Senior Regional Brand Ambassador and Wholesale Sales team
- Collaborate with the Senior Regional Brand Ambassador to coordinate effective shopfloor coverage, ensuring optimal staffing levels to support business needs and customer experience
The Accomplished Individual Will Possess:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a retail environment, with a proven track record of delivering results
- Available to work varied hours as required by the store and Tapestry, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Familiarity with department store operations, including customer service, merchandising, and sales strategies
- Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of current industry trends and the ability to apply insights to enhance business outcomes
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to business development
- Collaborative team player, passionate about contributing to a positive team culture and achieving shared goals
