Role Summary

Working alongside the Brand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting in driving innovation, creating social media content and assisting on PR & Marketing activities. This role requires strong project management skills, collaboration skills, and a keen understanding of beauty market trends and consumer needs. You will work closely with Operations, Sales, and Creative teams within this role.

Role Accountabilities

NPD Project Management

  • Support the development of product concepts, packaging ideas, and prototypes
  • Liaise with suppliers daily on NPD projects, organising samples, quotes & timelines
  • Work closely with Operations on raising PO’s to ensure stock is in the warehouse on time
  • Support the Brand Manager in briefing the creative team on product packaging and artwork
  • Support the Brand Manager with regulatory tasks such as product registration

Social Media Planning & Content Creation

  • Support with light design and editing using tools such as Canva and CapCut to adapt imagery and video for all platforms in various formats
  • Develop post copy and hashtags ensuring it follows Jo Loves’ tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Organise, label, and archive all social assets using internal systems
  • Track UGC, trends, and relevant conversations
  • Flag real-time moments or opportunities for the brand
  • Support the Social agency on content capture days in the office and at shoots

Competitor & Trend Analysis

  • Conduct trend analysis of the beauty industry, turning insights into actionable recommendations
  • Conduct competitor analysis of key competitors to identify trends and key whitespace opportunities

Marketing & PR

  • Assist the Brand Manager in planning PR events in collaboration with the PR agency
  • Assist with researching future brand partnership opportunities
  • Support the Brand Manager in the creation of briefs for creative assets for various channels including; PR Assets, Store Assets, and Digital Assets
  • Creation of copy for PR invites, mailers, and ad-hoc marketing collateral

Ad hoc Team Duties to support Company Growth

  • Assist the Brand Manager with organising samples for; photoshoots, retailer sampling, and PR activity

Knowledge of/experience

  • Good project management skills
  • Exceptional communication with the ability to positively influence business performance
  • Ability and flexibility to work as part of an effective team

Experience

  • Knowledge of new product launches within fragrance/personal care or similar products within an FMCG environment preferable but not essential
  • Excellent multi-tasker, with the ability to work across multiple projects
  • Experience working within a retail environment (preferably beauty) preferential but not essential
  • Familiarity with key social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube & LinkedIn) and an understanding of current content and creator trends
  • Basic design or editing skills (Canva, Figma, CapCut or similar)
  • Excellent organisation and a strong eye for detail
