This is a unique opportunity to join our Group Marketing team and work across both our Pet and Meat divisions, developing brands, supporting commercial growth and delivering marketing that makes a real difference. From day one, you'll have genuine responsibility, broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to help shape the future of our brands.
About Us
Established in 1922, Buitelaar Group is a fifth-generation, family-owned business operating across agriculture, meat, ingredients, pet food and raw materials, and hides and skins.
With over 100 years of experience, we connect farmers, processors, retailers and manufacturers through integrated, traceable supply chains, supplying high-quality British and Irish beef alongside a growing portfolio of brands and agricultural businesses.
We're a business that values ownership, curiosity and people who enjoy taking responsibility. We move quickly, work collaboratively and encourage our team to develop alongside the business.
The Role
Your role is to drive commercial growth by developing our brands, strengthening customer relationships and delivering marketing that creates measurable value for the business.
Working as part of our Group Marketing team, you'll work across both our Pet and Meat divisions, giving you the opportunity to build a broad understanding of the business while developing expertise across two commercially important sectors.
From day one, you'll take ownership of key Pet marketing activity, including the delivery of Zoomark 2027, while also working alongside our commercial team to develop the future of our Meat brands.
Your work will span everything from developing marketing campaigns and customer communications to improving websites, evolving brands, creating content, supporting customer relationships and delivering major exhibitions. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in long-term brand development projects whilst also delivering day-to-day marketing activity that supports business growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
