A leading contract manufacturer and brand owner to the personal care and cosmetics sector is currently hiring for a new addition to their team.

Having recently acquired a small, growing brand as part of their portfolio, they are looking for a Brand Manager to come on board (Hybrid role) at their site near Royston.

With experience within NPD / Brand management / marketing within the personal care and cosmetics industry, you will take ownership of the portfolio across shower, bath, body, skincare and haircare.

What you will do:

Product Development

  • Developing new bath & body products (shower gels, body lotions, scrubs, gifts etc.) in line with retailer needs
  • Managing end-to-end NPD process (idea > formulation brief > testing > launch)
  • Working with fragrance houses, packaging suppliers, and manufacturers
  • Creating product briefs based on trend and consumer insight
  • Ensuring compliance (cosmetics regulations, safety assessments, INCI labelling)
  • Costing and margin awareness through account teams
  • Supporting product claims and packaging copy development

Brand Manager

  • Owning and developing the brand strategy within the UK/Export market
  • Ensuring consistent brand positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity across all consumer touchpoints
  • Leading brand product development initiatives aligned to business objectives and growth targets
  • Analysing consumer, market, and competitor trends to identify opportunities for innovation and brand growth
  • Working closely with sales, marketing, and international teams to deliver successful product launches and brand messaging
  • Supporting retailer presentations, category reviews, and customer-facing brand materials
  • Managing brand performance through analysis of sales, market data, and consumer

What you will need:

  • BSc / BA or higher - desirable
  • Specific experience in NPD and/or Brand management within the cosmetic and personal care industry
  • Strong consumer trend awareness (especially fragrance, wellness, lifestyle trends)
  • Basic commercial understanding (costing, margin, MOQ constraints)
  • Project management (critical, multiple SKUs running simultaneously)
  • Attention to detail (regulatory + packaging accuracy)
  • Good brand management and brand-building capability
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to translate consumer insight into actionable plans
