The L&D industry is broken. We're here to modernise it.
Traditional learning sticks 5% of the time. Together, with our clients (Apple, P&G, Primark, Blue Light Card, Schroders and many more), we build the other 95%.
Unthink is a multi-award-winning behaviour change company creating unreasonably engaging learning experiences so visceral your brain can't forget them. Less death by PowerPoint, more main character energy.
We're built for the leaders, teams and cultures who've tried workshops before and are yet to see real impact and who want learning that changes behaviour in the real world, not just in the room.
We're not for everyone. But if you're allergic to beige branding and think L&D deserves to be modernised, then keep reading.
The Role
We're hiring our first dedicated Brand Manager to build Unthink out loud. This isn't a role about maintaining brand guidelines in a drawer it's about making Unthink impossible to ignore across the channels our clients and future clients actually pay attention to.
You'll own the job of turning what we do in the room into something the industry talks about outside of it: disruptive social activations, memorable client and industry events, and a brand presence that drives genuine intrigue and consideration in the L&D and behaviour change space.
You'll work closely with our Founders, Creative Director and Experience Manager translating what makes Unthink awful at workshops and remarkable at learning experiences.
What You'll Do
- Build the brand out loud. Own brand strategy and execution across our core social channels, growing awareness, intrigue and consideration with our target L&D and business audience.
- Create disruptive activations. Plan and deliver campaigns and moments that get Unthink talked about not just liked.
- Own memorable events. Work with the Experience Manager to design and deliver unreasonable client events, launches and industry moments that feel as unforgettable as our learning experiences.
- Champion the voice. Keep Unthink's tone - bold, sharp, never boring - consistent everywhere the brand shows up, from LinkedIn to a stage.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work hand-in-hand with the Founders on positioning and narrative, and with the Creative Director on bringing ideas to life visually.
- Track what matters. Report on brand health, engagement and consideration metrics, and use insights to sharpen what we do next.
- Scout culture, not just competitors. Keep a pulse on L&D, HR, and adjacent industries (as well as broader marketing and culture trends) to spot moments Unthink should own.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Bring
- 2–5 years experience in brand management, marketing, or brand/social strategy — agency, in-house, or a mix of both.
- A portfolio of work that shows you can build buzz, not just post content: campaigns, activations, or events with a clear point of view.
- Strong instincts for social-first brand building, and a track record of growing engagement and consideration (not just followers).
- Comfort working closely with founders and senior stakeholders, translating ambiguity into a plan.
- A high agency mentality. Ability to roll up the sleeves and work at a fast pace.
- Event or experiential marketing exposure; you understand how a room full of people become a story that travels.
- Sharp writing and creative judgement; you know a good headline, hook, or idea when you see one.
- A genuine interest in behaviour change, learning, or workplace culture is a big plus you don't need to come from L&D, but you should be excited to make it cool and truly care about modernising it.
- Self-starter energy. We're a small, ambitious team, you'll have real ownership from day one.
