Brand Manager - Brushes
Project & Marketing Manager (Southern & East Africa)

This role sits at the intersection of sales support, strategic marketing, and regional leadership for Southern and East Africa. The ideal candidate will own marketing strategy execution, foster collaborative relationships, and deliver measurable results while upholding BIC’s vision, ethics, and values.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and own the annual Marketing Plan aligned with regional sales objectives and European headquarters directives.
- Ensure timely, budget-aligned execution of promotions (coordinating with agencies, distributors, and CEA Area Business Manager).
- Research market viability for new products, launching innovations efficiently to capture growth opportunities.
- Drive new segment entry with strategic positioning (e.g., emerging markets, improved product lines).
- CPG market research and data-driven decision-making using IRI/ACNielsen reports to refine forecasts and execution.
Campaign & Product Management
- Compile and lead campaign implementation based on approved agency pitches and plan objectives.
- Manage packaging development for new products, collaborating with creative/design partners.
- Align marketing initiatives with BIC’s core values—ensuring consistency in messaging, visuals, and brand promise across Africa.
Stakeholder & Agency Relations
- Thought leadership in media relations: inform markets of innovations and community initiatives for optimal PR coverage.
- Build high-performance relationships with advertising agencies and external suppliers, ensuring on-time, cost-effective delivery.
- Attend sales meetings, customer visits, and distributor engagement to support commercial initiatives and tailor store-specific promotions.
- Serve as a cross-functional meticulous collaborator—sales teams, CEA team, African markets, and global HQ.

Operational Accountability
- Manage marketing expenditure rigorously within budget parameters while maintaining professional standards.
- Monitor KPIs and deadlines for Marketing Plans and promotional campaigns—delivering measurable ROI.
- Represent Tangle Teezer in press, BIC events, and industry networks authentically.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
✔ Marketing Plan delivery on time and with measurable results. ✔ Summit monthly scorecard reviews (IRI reports, field metrics, distributor feedback). ✔ Leverage customer insights to consistently improve brand engagement and sales. ✔ Quarterly employee development plans in effect—growing team autonomy and capabilities.
