ABOUT TRESEMMÉ
TRESemmé was born in the salon and is housed under the Beauty and Wellbeing division. It is one of our power brands for the hair category, with a strong foothold in the US market but also a huge opportunity for growth in our World at Large markets (outside of North America). The ambition is to establish sizeable business in these markets and build a strong brand that drives growth and brand power rooted in the brand’s DNA. Tresemme is admired across the globe for its Salon-Worthy Products and Style-First Approach. It strives to bring that salon feel to everyone, everyday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will report to Tresemme Global Brand Director and will be responsible for crafting, development & deployment of critical programs for the Tresemme transformation plans. This position offers a great opportunity to demonstrate independent leadership, agility, flexibility and clearly ownable deliverables. As this is a critical role within the team, we’re looking for a candidate who is able to hit the ground running, demonstrate high levels of responsibility, ownership, an immense bias for actions and desire to develop within the exciting and demanding world of hair care. A very good eye for beauty & aesthetic is important. As well as strengths in strategic thinking, analytical & commercial acumen as well as flawless storytelling.
The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams (globally and locally), creative design partners, as well as partnering with local markets to drive impact and growth. - Leading the overall project management of TRESemmé core innovation project
- Leading strategic thinking, development and deployment of the global innovation toolbox with a view to execute them across key markets.
- Understanding and analysing global toolkit vs. local business strategy and needs leading to landing and deploying a well-developed innovation & engagement program for the brand across critical markets.
- Leading on-trend innovation toolkit creation (product, packaging, claims, in-store, communications etc) with social/culture-first thinking, building beauty mixes that drive desirability.
- Championing consistent brand execution rooted in the new Tresemme BrandVerse and DesignVerse that builds strong brand power in lead markets.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven global experience in brand development and deployment with a strong passion for Beauty Category and landing innovation mixes OTIF with strategic and operational rigour, flexibility, agility and eye for detail, beauty and craftsmanship.
- Experience in & passion for Beauty Category is a must; past role in premium beauty/skin care or hair care is a plus.
- Experience in managing cross-cultural relationships with multiple markets.
- Experience in deploying successful innovations & engagement programs across multiple markets and regions.
- Experience in effectively managing the relationship with global and local cross-functional partners as well as creative agency partners.
- Ideally experience in Global Brand Development experience with a proven track record on mix development and deployment.
- Proven experience of leading networks delivering projects on-time and in-full (OTIF).
- Proven experience in successfully working with creative agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in results tracking and analysis to optimize mix development is required.

- Strong sense of ownership with ability to lead & manage quality & deadline of workstream on your own.
- Strong communication skills, can articulate a clear point of view, and share it with key internal and external stakeholders across functions.
- Is a problem-solver: someone who can identify and clearly articulate an issue and propose solutions.
- Is curious and has empathy: someone who asks the right questions, is externally focused and obsessed with trying to understand consumers better.
- Consumer-centric & alert with new market/consumer trends.
- Is a creative thinker, able to express good creative judgement of assets developed by agency partners, keeping brand and consumer insights in mind.
- Shows leadership and is reliable: holds the team accountable for deliveries and keeps things moving with speed without letting any ball drop.
- Has strong analytical skills and a good business acumen.
- Is a natural team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Be bold in thought and brave in action. Has a healthy disregard for status quo.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about engagement, movement, digital and people.
- This is a BIG role, and you must be able to multi-task, whilst remaining agile and reactive.
- A positive can-do attitude, rigour, and ability to hold yourself (and others) accountable.
- External focus, aware of what is happening in key brand interest areas and apply that to the job.
- Desire to drive new, big ideas to drive the brand forward.
- Excellent written and spoken business English.
- Problem-solver, able to drive the way forward with speed and agility.
- Good creative judgement for asset development, with strong consumer and brand insights.
