About the Role
As the Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll report to the Head of Marketing and play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the Springer Health+ and Adis brands both globally and locally across our journal portfolio.
Your core mission: Deliver integrated B2B marketing programmes that reinforce Springer’s reputation as a trusted partner in healthcare communications and scientific engagement.
Based at the intersection of science, content, and marketing, you’ll translate complex concepts into compelling narratives for:
- Healthcare professionals
- Pharmaceutical innovators
- Scientific communities

A commercially savvy marketer with strong analytical skills, commercial curiosity, and the ability to simplify complex ideas to drive engagement.

Role Responsibilities
Brand & Communications
- Strengthen and refine the Springer Health+ and Adis brands across global/local markets, enhancing brand equity and market differentiation.
- Champion brand alignment internally—acting as a brand ambassador to ensure consistent messaging and identity.
- Oversee PR activities, external narratives, conference participation, and thought leadership engagements to improve brand visibility.
Thought Leadership & Content
- Lead high-impact thought leadership campaigns that boost brand authority and drive industry influence.
- Collaborate with scientific, editorial, and commercial teams to develop evidence-based content (e.g., white papers, reports, webinars).
- Craft measured and audience-focused messaging (e.g., case studies, peer-to-peer communications) that deconstructs scientific complexity.
- Embed AI tools to boost content ideation and scalability, maintaining high editorial quality.
Strategic Marketing & Campaigns
- Spearhead integrated B2B marketing strategies that grow engagement and commercial success.
- Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns using digital, events, email, social media, and partnerships.
- Tailor messaging for healthcare, pharmaceutical, and academic audiences.
- Drive results through data analysis and continuous optimisation.
- Utilise AI-driven marketing analytics for precise targeting.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Balance support for both brands (Springer Health+ & Adis) alongside global/local teams.
- Partner with commercial, editorial, and scientific teams for strategic marketing alignment.
- Collaborate with sales and business development to bolster lead generation and client retention.
- Manage external vendors, freelancers, and agencies as needed.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Degree level or qualified via relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in healthcare communications, scientific publishing, or medical education.
- Ability to deliver integrated B2B marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.
- Strong storytelling and content development skills, particularly in scientific/healthcare disclosure.
- Expertise in transmitting complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Cross-functional fluency working with scientific and commercial teams.
- Polished written and verbal communication (clear, engaging, and persuasive).
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
- Data-driven mindset with campaign performance evaluation and insights application.
- Receptive to AI applications in marketing workflows and content creation.
Desirable
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics).
- Experience with AI-powered marketing platforms (e.g., AI-driven content creation, campaign optimisation).
- Understanding of SEO best practices, social media strategy, and content marketing.
