Brasserie Chef De Partie
Full-Time Position (40 hours) - Up to £30k per annum plus service charge
Your country home away from home, nestled within 12 acres of picturesque Hertfordshire countryside. Sopwell House is a luxurious, family-owned Georgian country house hotel offering timeless elegance and modern comfort. We’re proud to be a place where exceptional service is delivered with warmth, pride and purpose. We’re currently looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our dedicated Brasserie team.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts or related major; NVQ Level 2 or 3 in professional cookery is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Chef de Partie role within a high-end hotel or fine dining environment
- Solid understanding of excellence in customer service, preferably gained in a 5-star or luxury hospitality setting
- Solid understanding of modern and classical cooking techniques, with the ability to execute a diverse range of dishes to a consistent level.
- Skilled in preparing and plating dishes across various sections (e.g. grill, larder, garnish, or sauce), with attention to detail and efficient prep management.
- A positive, team-focused attitude with a passion for delivering elevated brasserie-style cuisine in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Work with an incredible team who provide our guests with unforgettable cuisine
- Be responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared and presented to deliver an excellent guest experience while assisting with food cost controls
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes
- Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
