About the Role
We are seeking a happy, enthusiastic, and passionate EYFS Leader to join our passionate team of professionals. As our Early Years Lead, you will:
- Manage, train, and inspire a cohesive team that shares the same goals and enthusiasm for childcare.
- Deliver inclusive, engaging, and safe childcare with warm, structured, and enjoyable daily activities—ranging from games and arts & crafts to downtime and play.
- Maintain high standards adhering to safety protocols, inclusion policies, and educational frameworks (EYFS).
- Pivot with energy and enthusiasm, crafting unforgettable experiences daily—both thoughtfully and organically.
- Lead with confidence and creativity while promoting equality, fun, and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Develop, support, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality childcare delivery.
- Upskill team members and nurture personal growth while fostering a positive work environment.
- Implement and promote a structured yet flexible Early Years (EYFS) framework.
Childcare Excellence
- Design and deliver structured play, activities, and learning experiences tailored to Nursery and Reception-aged children (ages 3–7).
- Supervise safe, fun, and inclusive activities (e.g., arts, tech play, outdoor exploration).
- Maintain open communication with parents while maintaining confidentiality.

Policy & Compliance
- Uphold safety regulations (KCSIE/Ofsted standards), hygiene policies, and child protection protocols.
- Liaise with school teams on child welfare and operational routines.
- Maintain accurate records for child supervision, attendance, and learning progress.
Operational & Administrative
- Plan and schedule meals, snacks, and outings collaboratively with the team.
- Onboard staff, ensure compliance with the DBS checks, and prepare all necessary documentation.
- Represent the club’s positive ethos in all interactions and events.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must Have
- A *mandatory Level 3 childcare qualification—focused on Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Experience demonstrating team leadership, nuts, and supervision within a childcare setting.
- A genuine passion for working with young children (Nursery/Reception AGE GROUPS).
- Compassion, flexibility, and a sense of fun, along with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of KCSIE and willingness to comply with all safeguarding policies.
Desirable
- Previous experience managing multiple wraparound care sites/\ programmes.
- TEACHING WELL hours or further training in EYFS pedagogy.
- Bilingual/multilingual skills supporting a multicultural school community.

Hours & Contract
- Fixed (Term Time Only)
- Breakfast Club: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM (Monday to Friday)
- After School Club: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Additional Opportunities – Terms available to extend to up to 40 hours/week if desired, during school holidays (holiday clubs run 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM).

Salary
£13.50 per hour
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, term time only. Hour slots for holidays at nearby sites welcome.

Custom Requirements for Application
- Two references are required:
- One from your most recent employer.
- One from a childcare setting (if applicable).
- An enhanced DBS check will be processed by JAG on your behalf.
- Demonstration of compliance with KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) standards is mandatory.
- References and DBS documentation must be provided pre-interview.
