About the Role
We are searching for a bright, welcoming, and engaging Breakfast & Bar Host to join our team at four-star The Vale Bar & Grill at Vale Resort. This guest-facing role focuses on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, guiding guests through the breakfast experience, and delivering outstanding service.
As the breakfast service concludes, you’ll transition to The Vale Bar, where you’ll provide professional table service, engage with guests, and promote the excellent drinks and bar menu.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Service – The Vale Grill
- Welcome all guests warmly and provide an orientation of the breakfast offering and restaurant layout
- Manage guest flow to ensure a smooth and pleasant seating process
- Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and ensure they feel valued and attentive
- Liaise with service staff to uphold buffet and à la carte standards
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout breakfast

Bar Hosting – The Vale Bar
- Host the bar floor, delivering professional and friendly table service for drinks and light bites
- Build rapport with guests, offering personalised recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of the bar menu (beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails)
- Support the bar team in maintaining a clean and presentable area
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality (not mandatory but preferred)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests and colleagues effectively
- A warm, friendly, and outgoing personality
- Experience in guest services or hotel operations would be beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while remaining composed and professional
- A genuine desire to provide exceptional service
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a 5-day rota (occasional weekends & evenings)
