A MORNING IN THE LIFE OF A BREAKFAST CHEF AT OUR HOTEL

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of fresh breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard, ensuring every plate is presented with care and attention to detail.
  • Set up your workstation before service, ensuring all ingredients are prepared, equipment is ready, and food safety standards are met.
  • Monitor and replenish the breakfast buffet, keeping hot and cold items fresh, well-stocked, and attractively presented throughout service.
  • Cook breakfast orders efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP procedures at all times, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock levels during service, reporting shortages and helping to minimise waste through effective food rotation and portion control.
  • Work closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure guests enjoy a seamless and memorable breakfast experience.
  • Assist with kitchen preparation for future services and support the team with general kitchen duties as required.

What we need from you:

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen role.
  • A genuine passion for preparing high-quality breakfast dishes and delivering excellent guest experiences.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations.
  • A proactive and team-focused attitude, with excellent communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and presentation.
  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests.
