Breakfast Chef – Kitchen

Earn up to £17.20 an hour, including tips.

At Rick Stein Restaurants, we embody fresh ingredients, simple cooking executed brilliantly, and the creation of unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. Breakfast represents the first touchpoint of the day, and we are seeking a skilled, reliable Breakfast Chef to enhance our kitchen team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast dishes to brand standards
  • Setting up and organising the kitchen for smooth breakfast service
  • Ensuring consistency and presentation across all dishes
  • Managing breakfast prep, including breads, pastries, and hot dishes
  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Maintaining exemplary hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
  • Managing stock, labelling, rotation, and waste minimisation
  • Ensuring efficient service during busy morning peak periods
  • Assisting in the training and development of junior team members
  • Supporting prep for later services where required

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen (previous breakfast experience is desirable)
  • A deep passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
  • Ability to remain efficient and focused during early morning shifts
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • A team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Calm, reliable, and resilient under pressure
  • A willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the kitchen
  • Flexibility to support the wider team as needed
