We have an exciting opportunity to become our new Breakfast Chef at one of our workplace restaurants in Milton Keynes MK15 8HD.

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

This is a permanent position working 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, from 6:00am to 11am.

We are a fresh food-led operation catering for up to 150 people per day, offering flavourful, nutrient-rich dishes that are designed and prepared fresh each day. All food is cooked on-site using ingredients sourced from local producers. Our team has full autonomy over menu development, applying their skills and experience to deliver a consistently evolving and high-quality offering for our customers.

Our food style is Modern British with influences from around the globe, combining fresh seasonal ingredients with bold flavours and creative daily specials.

You will have responsibility for kitchen preparation and breakfast service, ensuring a smooth and organised start to the day. The role includes preparing and setting up the kitchen for service, cooking breakfast specials, and preparing eggs and toast to order through live cooking for customers. You will work closely with the team to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer service throughout breakfast service.

This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, interacting with customers, and contributing ideas to a creative and evolving menu.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Have experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
  • Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Have excellent customer service and social skills
  • Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
  • Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 8
