Job Title: Breakfast Chef
Overview
Mornings matter at The Grand Hotel Birmingham. As our Breakfast Chef, you'll help create a great start to every guest's day, preparing quality breakfasts with care while working as part of a supportive and professional kitchen team. If you enjoy working in a busy kitchen, take pride in producing consistently good food and thrive on early starts, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a temporary Breakfast Chef role until January 2027, with the potential to become a permanent position.
This role involves working 40 hours per week over 5 days with the typical shift pattern being 5:00am – 1:30pm to include weekends on a rota basis.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in line with our recipes and quality standards.
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner throughout breakfast service.
- Supporting the wider kitchen team with food preparation and general kitchen duties as required.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

- Previous experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen is essential. Experience in a hotel kitchen would be an advantage.
- A genuine interest in producing quality food and delivering consistently high standards.
- Excellent food hygiene knowledge and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- An level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate would be desirable.
- A positive attitude, a reliable approach and the ability to thrive with early starts.
