Breast Care Specialist Nurse
Brentwood Hospital | Clinical Leader | Permanent | Part Time | Up to £50,000 per annum pro rata depending on skills and experience
15 hours per week

About the Role
Nuffield Brentwood offers the position of a Breast Cancer Specialist Nurse. As a Clinical Specialist in Breast Care, you will:
- Operate autonomously with an extended and advanced scope of practice, providing clinical leadership and specialist knowledge and skills that enable the delivery of the highest quality, patient care. Care that is patient-centred, evidence-based, brand-defining, and innovative; delivered in line with organizational, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Independently manage your own clinical caseload, taking a holistic approach towards care management and delivery, solving complex care dilemmas with dynamic and innovative solutions and leading and developing the service in line with your specialist knowledge and expertise.
- Lead and champion patient safety in your area of practice, seeking out potential issues and encouraging staff to call out and report safety concerns.
- Promote effective clinical risk management – undertaking risk assessments and investigations (relevant to your sphere of practice), developing mitigation and escalation plans, and contributing towards the maintenance of the risk register.
- Proactively identify and manage safety issues and risks in accordance with regulation.
- Promote and embed a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures).
- Contribute towards high-quality and timely incident investigations.
- Champion safeguarding, addressing and escalating concerns.

Requirements
To succeed as a Clinical Specialist in Breast Care, you will need:
- Training in Breast Cancer Course level 6 and experience essential.

Our modern, well-equipped hospital provides a range of services and treatments from outpatients and minor procedures through to inpatients and major surgical specialties. Hospital facilities include 42 beds, 4 Theatres, an Endoscopy Suite, 16 consulting rooms, MRI, CT, General Imaging, Pathology, Physiotherapy, and an onsite Pharmacy.
