An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BREEAM Assessor to join a growing Sustainability team within a well-established multidisciplinary building consultancy. Day-to-Day
Your Typical Day Will Involve
- Collaborating with project teams to deliver BREEAM assessments and sustainability strategies.
- Preparing technical reports and documentation to support project goals.
- Engaging with clients to provide expert advice on sustainable design.
- Conducting research and analysis to support energy and carbon reduction initiatives.
- Participating in team meetings to share knowledge and develop innovative solutions.
- Expanding your expertise in emerging sustainability practices and tools.
Responsibilities
As a BREEAM Assessor, you will play a key role in delivering sustainability services across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, defence, hospitality, and infrastructure developments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and supporting BREEAM assessments from design through to certification.
- Producing high-quality technical reports and sustainability documentation.
- Advising clients and project teams on sustainable design strategies.
- Assisting with Energy Statements, Sustainability Statements, and Whole Life Carbon Reports.
- Supporting project sustainability strategies throughout the design process.
- Contributing to wider sustainability services, including WELL, Fitwel, and DREAM assessments.
- Developing skills in dynamic thermal modelling, embodied carbon, circular economy, and Net Zero Carbon strategies.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience within the built environment, sustainability, or construction sector.
- A BREEAM Assessor qualification or strong knowledge of BREEAM methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A genuine passion for sustainable building design.
Experience with tools and methodologies such as IES VE, Part L, TM54, Whole Life Carbon, WELL, or Fitwel assessments would be advantageous but is not essential.
