Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet our quality and hygiene targets and drive our process forward.
- Comply with allergen controls and maintain an excellent level of personal and plant hygiene (cleaning plan is king!)
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of process brewing from fermentation to filtration including stock management, documenting relevant data, and ensuring this information is clearly and concisely communicated.
- Ensure clear channels of communication within the brewing team and the wider production family to guarantee quality and consistency and maintain accurate records.
- Get involved: Be a proactive member of a small team of brewers on a single shift and assist your team lead in coordinating the activities of your shift to meet production and quality targets. Drive process developments, there is always room for improvement and your opinions are valuable.
- Get actively involved in shift handovers, no detail is too small to keep our beers epic.
- Drive your own development with external learning and the training resources provided.

Health & Safety
- Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
- Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog.
- Complete online or face to face training as and when required.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work.
- Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.
General
- Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times.
- Take part in crew reviews throughout the year.
- Cooperate with other BrewDog departments to achieve a great experience for our customers, applicants, colleagues, and contractors.
- Attend training courses and complete online training modules as required to meet the requirements of the role.
- Take responsibility for own personal development, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills.
- Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business.
- Apply the BrewDog charter and behaviours to every aspect of the role at all times.
- Protect and enhance the interests and reputation of BrewDog internally and externally.

About You
Qualifications & Specific Training
- IBD General Certificate in Brewing (desirable)
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a similar brewery production environment.
Knowledge
- Can identify ways to improve procedures and deliver change with the pursuit of perfection.
- Can recognise gaps in team ability and instruct crewmates where to access resources for learning.
- Can recommend actions to improve processes to achieve value for money and efficiency.
- Knows where to find information on utilities (what utilities we have and how much they cost us - Own your numbers) and the effect any malfunction will have on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Can explain the yeast management plant and procedures in order to maintain production schedules and yeast quality.
Skills
- Prioritise and track ad-hoc work and provide detailed handovers.
- Simultaneously manage multiple requests and deadlines.
- Able to react and coordinate changes in the production plan and schedule for your area of responsibility.
- React positively to process issues by adapting the process and equipment to mitigate any risks to safety of personnel, beer quality or possible equipment damage.
- Actively works with the wider brewing and production team to overcome technical challenges and positively impact production output.
