Brewing Operator

Brewing Operator – Independent Craft Brewery – West Yorkshire – up to £30,000

An award-winning, independent brewery with a reputation for high-quality craft beers and a commitment to investing in its people is seeking a Brewing Operator to join their busy production team.

We are currently recruiting for a Brewing Operator who will work across the brewery and cellar, playing a key role in producing consistent, high-quality beer while maintaining rigorous standards for quality, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate brewing and cellar equipment to produce high-quality beer
  • Support the entire brewing process, from raw material handling to fermentation monitoring
  • Transfer beer between fermentation vessels and conditioning tanks
  • Perform cellar operations including yeast cropping, dry hopping, beer filtration, and centrifuge operation
  • Conduct Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) procedures to ensure equipment hygiene
  • Carry out quality checks throughout the brewing and cellaring process, reporting any anomalies promptly
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality
  • Receive, store, and handle materials, ensuring accurate stock control and batch traceability
  • Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of brewing and cellar equipment
  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including use of appropriate PPE at all times
  • Collaborate with the wider production team to meet production schedules and performance targets

Key Qualities & Experience

  • Previous experience in a brewing environment or similar manufacturing/production role (at least one year desirable)
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrable attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Flexible approach to working rotating shifts and occasional weekends
