Mondrian Alpha are partnering with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund that deploys capital across a broad range of investment strategies. Operating with the majority of their own capital, the firm has built a reputation for innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and maintaining a collaborative low-ego culture.
About the Role
The role sits within a lean finance team reporting directly to the Head of Finance and works with the wider London finance function across regulatory reporting and financial control. This is a broad role combining regulatory reporting and financial control responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their expertise across both areas. The role will support the firm's UK and EU regulated entities and play a key role in preparing prudential regulatory returns, monitor daily capital adequacy, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
