Overview

The Casualty Reinsurance Broker role involves supporting the delivery of bespoke reinsurance solutions, fostering strong client and market relationships, and ensuring the seamless management of reinsurance placements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong understanding of casualty reinsurance products and services.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored reinsurance solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and placement of casualty reinsurance programmes tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to clients on appropriate reinsurance structures and coverage options.
  • Manage treaty renewals, endorsements, and amendments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, reinsurers, and underwriters to address client queries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and market requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and support business growth through innovative reinsurance solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and developments to provide clients with informed advice and insights.

About You

  • Proven experience in reinsurance brokerage, account management, or a related field, with a focus on casualty lines.
  • Strong knowledge of reinsurance products, treaty structures, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and reinsurers.
  • Proficiency in using reinsurance software, data analytics tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CII qualifications) are highly desirable.
