Broker (Placing Broker)

This role is a key contributor to the strategic growth and operational excellence of Willis Re’s business. The role will assist with placement strategies and drive business development initiatives while ensuring compliance and profitability.

Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness.
  • Conduct strategic reviews, renewal planning, and risk advisory sessions with clients.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across Willis Re’s portfolio.
  • Analyse underwriting data and develop market knowledge to inform placement strategies.
  • Collaborate with actuarial and analytics teams to assess portfolio performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist with the structuring, negotiation, and placement of reinsurance programmes by developing bespoke client solutions.
  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with global reinsurers to secure optimal terms and capacity.
  • Ensure all placements and documentation meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous proven reinsurance broking experience.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance structures.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and deep market relationships with global reinsurers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage complex placements under tight timelines.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; professional designations (e.g., ACII) beneficial.
