Job Description

As a Brokerage Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for optimizing and overseeing critical operational processes and initiatives end-to-end. Your work will influence multiple functions, ensuring operational execution remains aligned with our business strategy and long-term vision. You will leverage a strong foundation in operations management, along with data-driven analysis, digital fluency, and cross-functional partnership, to drive continuous improvement and successful outcomes. You will be part of a team that sets clear expectations and fosters an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and professional growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize daily operational processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Apply your strategic brokerage thinking skills to identify potential scenarios, evaluate their impact and risk, and make informed decisions that directly affect departmental outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational workflows and enhance productivity across departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of operations with business objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Appetite in overseeing and optimizing complex operational processes from inception to execution.
  • Understanding of brokerage practices, strategies, and regulations.
  • Must-have understanding of corporate actions and mutual funds—including end-to-end event lifecycles, entitlement calculations, key dates and deadlines, and the downstream impacts to positions, cash, tax, and client reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret issuer/agent notifications, ensure timely and accurate processing across systems and counterparties, and apply relevant market practices, regulations, and controls to mitigate operational risk.
  • Proven ability to apply advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills in an operations management context.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex information, including legal regulations, market trends & financial data.
  • Proficiency in test planning, execution, and reporting.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Implement automation to streamline project workflows and increase operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging creative problem-solving and the adoption of new technologies.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and investment products.
  • Contributing to a diverse team, with a focus on delegation, team building, and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Proficiency in Alteryx, with experience in designing and implementing complex workflows for data preparation, blending, and analysis.
