Brokerage Product Development Manager
The Brokerage Product Development Manager is a customer-focused leader responsible for strengthening customer relationships, driving business growth, and delivering value through UPS Customs Brokerage solutions.
This role acts as a trusted advisor to customers, partnering closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to understand customer needs, develop innovative solutions, and enhance the overall customer experience. By leveraging deep Customs Brokerage expertise, the incumbent identifies opportunities to improve supply chain performance, expand service adoption, and support long-term customer success.
The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, builds strong partnerships, drives continuous improvement, and helps customers navigate complex customs and international trade requirements while maximizing the value of UPS solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for assigned Customs Brokerage customers, building strong relationships and supporting long-term business growth.
- Collaborate with customers to understand business challenges, identify opportunities, and develop solutions that enhance their supply chain performance.
- Partner with Sales and Operations teams to drive customer retention, increase customer satisfaction, and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Deliver Customs Brokerage expertise during customer discussions, solution design, contract negotiations, and pricing activities.
- Lead customer business reviews and strategic meetings, providing insights, recommendations, and solutions that strengthen partnerships and create additional value.
- Advocate for the customer across the organization, ensuring customer needs are understood and effectively addressed.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through additional services, product adoption, and integrated UPS solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality, operational efficiency, and the customer experience.
- Analyze customer trends, performance metrics, and market opportunities to proactively recommend improvements and growth strategies.
- Facilitate issue resolution and corrective action plans, ensuring a positive customer experience and long-term customer loyalty.
- Share customer insights, best practices, and market intelligence to support innovation and business development across the organization.
- Promote the UPS value proposition by delivering exceptional service, expertise, and customer-focused solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
- Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent.
- Licensed Customs Broker.
- Experience in Customs Brokerage, International Trade, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or related fields.
- Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience in customer-facing, commercial, product development, or account management roles.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and international logistics.
- Experience leading customer-focused improvement or business development initiatives.
