Automation Engineer
Location: Bristol and Southwest
Package: £35000 - £42000 DOE, company vehicle, and excellent benefits

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves carrying out maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs, and remedial works on a range of automated systems including gates, barriers, doors, and shutters across a nationwide customer base.

Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
- Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis
- Repair and remedial works on automated systems
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards
- Accurate completion of service records and reports
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with automated gates, barriers, doors, shutters, or similar automation systems
- Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability
- Good understanding of relevant safety standards and industry best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience & Qualifications
- DHF Level 2 qualification
- Gate Safe IOSH certification
- Manufacturer training with leading automation providers
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Reliable and professional
- Well organised with excellent time management skills
- Customer focused and commercially aware
- Ambitious, with aspirations to progress and take on further responsibility
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development
- Full and clean driving license
