Company Description LoveSign Hub provides British Sign Language (BSL) courses, Deaf Awareness Training, and professional interpreting services, including support for Access to Work (ATW) clients. The organization also runs a growing career network that connects Deaf professionals with inclusive employers. LoveSign Hub’s mission is to remove communication barriers and promote genuine inclusion in workplaces and everyday life. The team supports individuals learning BSL, organizations committed to accessibility, and Deaf professionals advancing their careers. Applicants will join a values-driven environment centered on accessibility, empowerment, and community impact. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a BSL Teacher based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site teaching and remote work. The BSL Teacher will plan, deliver, and evaluate BSL lessons for learners at various levels, using inclusive, engaging teaching methods. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, delivering group and one-to-one sessions, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves contributing to Deaf Awareness Training, collaborating with colleagues to refine curricula, and maintaining accurate records of attendance, assessments, and learner outcomes. The BSL Teacher will work closely with the wider team to ensure high-quality learning experiences aligned with LoveSign Hub’s mission of accessibility and inclusion. Qualifications Strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience delivering structured language or BSL instruction to diverse learner groups. Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing curricula, creating learning materials, and adapting content for different levels and learning styles. Excellent Communication skills, including clear visual communication, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to support both Deaf and hearing learners. Recognized BSL teaching qualification or equivalent, and a high level of BSL proficiency (e.g., BSL Level 6 or native/near-native fluency). Experience working with Deaf communities, Deaf culture awareness, and a strong commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Ability to use digital tools and online platforms for hybrid and remote teaching, with good organizational and time-management skills. Relevant teaching, education, or language training experience in adult, community, or further education settings is highly beneficial.
