Finance | Balance Sheet Management
We’re seeking a Senior Manager – Capital to play a pivotal role in shaping our capital strategy and ensuring the organisation remains well-capitalised, resilient, and positioned for sustainable growth.
Acting as a recognised capital SME, you will lead the development and delivery of capital management frameworks, provide strategic insight to senior leadership, and drive optimisation across the balance sheet.
Working closely with the Head of Balance Sheet Management, you will:
- Lead capital planning and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory expectations
- Own end-to-end delivery of ICAAP and Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP), including stress testing and scenario analysis
- Drive capital optimisation, including RWA efficiency, capital allocation, and support for strategic initiatives
- Develop and enhance capital management frameworks, including risk appetite, policies, and governance
- Provide expert insight on regulatory developments (e.g. PRA expectations, Basel frameworks), translating these into actionable strategy
- Support pricing, product development, and business planning through a capital lens
- Partner with Treasury, Risk, and Finance teams, ensuring joined-up balance sheet management (including liquidity and funding considerations)
- Influence senior stakeholders, contributing to ALCO, executive committees, and Board-level discussions

What we’re looking for
- Significant experience within Capital or Balance Sheet Management in a bank, building society, or similar institution
- Deep understanding of:
- Capital frameworks (CET1, buffers, leverage, MREL where relevant)
- ICAAP, stress testing, and regulatory capital requirements
- Balance sheet dynamics and ALM techniques
- Proven ability to lead complex regulatory deliverables and drive strategic outcomes
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate technical capital insights into business decisions
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders, including executive and Board-level forums
- A proactive, delivery-focused leader with a continuous improvement mindset
