BSM Senior Manager - Capital

BSM Senior Manager – Capital

Finance | Balance Sheet Management

We’re seeking a Senior Manager – Capital to play a pivotal role in shaping our capital strategy and ensuring the organisation remains well-capitalised, resilient, and positioned for sustainable growth.

Acting as a recognised capital SME, you will lead the development and delivery of capital management frameworks, provide strategic insight to senior leadership, and drive optimisation across the balance sheet.

Working closely with the Head of Balance Sheet Management, you will:

  • Lead capital planning and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory expectations
  • Own end-to-end delivery of ICAAP and Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP), including stress testing and scenario analysis
  • Drive capital optimisation, including RWA efficiency, capital allocation, and support for strategic initiatives
  • Develop and enhance capital management frameworks, including risk appetite, policies, and governance
  • Provide expert insight on regulatory developments (e.g. PRA expectations, Basel frameworks), translating these into actionable strategy
  • Support pricing, product development, and business planning through a capital lens
  • Partner with Treasury, Risk, and Finance teams, ensuring joined-up balance sheet management (including liquidity and funding considerations)
  • Influence senior stakeholders, contributing to ALCO, executive committees, and Board-level discussions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
