Business Support Officer (Administration) Level 1 – Fostering Support
Grade: D Hours: 37 per week Salary: £25,989 to £26,403 per annum Location: County Hall, Norwich / Hybrid Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a competent, well-organized and self-motivated individual to support the Fostering & Kinship team. This busy and varied role includes responsibilities such as:
- Raising purchase orders (POs)
- Handling confidential data securely
- Drafting and sending correspondence (letters)
- Dealing with administrative tasks in a bustling office environment
This position requires a strong understanding of:
- Office administration processes
- Safeguarding children’s policies and ethical handling of sensitive information
- Financial procedures, including purchasing, invoicing, and expense management
Key responsibilities also include:
- Providing excellent customer service across all service levels
- Demonstrating excellent ICT skills, with proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Databases
- Exhibiting exceptional time management, organisation, and prioritisation, particularly when working under tight deadlines
- Maintaining strong communication skills, both written and verbal
