Description

Join a Growing Environmental Services Team and Make a Real Difference

Are you an experienced Driver looking for a role that combines driving, customer interaction, safety, and environmental responsibility? Do you enjoy being on the road, working independently, and taking pride in delivering a first-class service?

We're looking for a proactive, safety-focused Driver to join our national team, collecting redundant waste batteries from customer sites across the UK and ensuring their safe transport for recycling and disposal.

This is more than just a driving job – you'll play a vital role in supporting the circular economy and helping businesses manage hazardous waste responsibly.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our specialist collection team, you'll:

  • Collect and manually load waste batteries from customer sites, including multi-floor locations, safely and efficiently.
  • Operate across a varied national collection route, providing excellent customer service at every stop.
  • Ensure all waste is loaded, secured, transported, and delivered in full compliance with hazardous waste and ADR regulations.
  • Complete all required compliance and transport documentation accurately and on time.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections, safety checks, and maintain vehicle cleanliness to company standards.
  • Report any safety concerns, near misses, incidents, spillages, or vehicle defects promptly.
  • Adhere to all customer site rules, including security, health and safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with driver's mates and operational teams to ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service and communicate additional customer requirements to management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
