Job Details
We are looking to recruit two motivated and highly organised Project Co‑ordinators to support the delivery of IT solutions relating to initiatives across Fife Council.
The Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join the Enterprise and Solutions Architecture team within Business Technology Solutions (BTS). BTS is responsible for the council’s information technology network and resources.
BTS procures and maintains all computer hardware and software, together with the network that connects it all together and to other organisations. This includes Fife Council’s telephone systems, electronic data storage and the IT applications that support service delivery.
The role of a Project Co-Ordinator is to work with all Services, Partnerships and Arm's Length Organisations (ALEO's) across Fife Council to deliver technology projects. You will be focused on coordinating the procurement, solutions assurance, and implementation of Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) solutions, working alongside subject matter experts from across the Council, technical teams, and service stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are well coordinated, governed, and communicated, contributing to improved services and outcomes across the organisation. The role requires someone who is comfortable maintaining progress over longer timescales, where delivery can involve multiple stages, dependencies, and approvals, and where persistence and clear communication are key to success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
