The Company

Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.

About the team

We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.

The Role

The Mechanical Installation & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the mechanical assembly, installation, maintenance and servicing of Dynisma's motion simulator products.

The role is split between customer sites and Dynisma's production facility. Working as part of the wider Operations team, the successful candidate will travel throughout the UK and internationally to carry out planned installations, preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs and upgrades. When not deployed on customer sites, they will support the mechanical build, testing and preparation of simulator systems at Dynisma's facility.

The role requires regular travel, including periods of working away from home, and the ability to represent Dynisma professionally while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanically assemble Dynisma motion simulator systems within the production facility in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
  • Install, commission and maintain simulator systems at customer sites in the UK and internationally.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs to ensure equipment continues to operate safely and reliably.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults, escalating more complex technical issues where appropriate.
  • Support commissioning activities alongside Electrical, Software and Controls Engineers.
  • Carry out mechanical inspections and identify worn or damaged components requiring replacement.
  • Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), pre-delivery inspections and final preparation of simulator systems prior to shipment.
  • Assemble components in accordance with engineering drawings, build instructions, and work orders.
  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks, managing time and priorities effectively.
  • Positively participate in training and mentoring opportunities from all members for the build team.
  • Work collaboratively with other build engineers and technicians within the bay.
  • Support and coach colleagues in shared assembly tasks or when additional resource is required.
  • Supports new starters within the team and contributes to their effective integration.

Continuous Improvement & cross-functional collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with other Build Engineers and other disciplines whilst working on and off site.
  • Communicate in a timely manner and clearly about progress, issues, and material/tooling needs.

Health & Safety and Quality

  • Ensure all work meets internal quality standards and complies with build documentation, test procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, use PPE correctly, and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
  • Complete build records, test data, and inspection reports accurately.
  • Identify and report any quality or build issues promptly to the senior or lead engineer of next highest authority.
  • Maintain safe working practices and proactively identify and report potential hazards or process risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all guidance provided by Senior, lead, principal engineers and team lead.
