**Build Technician – CALLUM

We are seeking an experienced Build Technician to join our team at CALLUM to work on the complete vehicle build of bespoke high-value vehicles, including component and sub-assembly.

Experience required:

  • All-round vehicle experience, preferably in high-performance and low-volume production.
  • Comfortable working in a small, multiskilled team environment.

Job Type:

  • Full-time or contract role available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Whole vehicle preparation, assembly, and build, primarily covering trim and final assembly.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, including:
    • Component and sub-assembly (building from scratch).
    • Full vehicle construction within a bay-build discipline.
  • Profiling, panel alignment, and gapping.
  • Fitting partial/full interior trim packages.
  • Diagnosing, logging, and reporting build issues, contributing to engineering improvements.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience with a variety of handheld tools.

Ideal Candidate

  • Essential:
    • Extensive hands-on experience with complete vehicle builds.
    • Strong engineering background.
    • Previous experience in vehicle assembly/build work.
    • Ability to collaborate in a team while following work instructions independently.
    • Problem-solving skills with a track record of developing technical solutions.
    • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of H&S, COSH, and environmental procedures.
    • Flexibility with working hours (overtime may be required).
